Section 8(9) and Rule 9 require these details to be published prominently. For a Significant Data Fiduciary, the DPO must be based in India and report to the board.
Notification as an SDF under Section 10 unlocks additional obligations: an India-based DPO reporting to the board, an independent data auditor, and annual DPIA and audit under Rule 12. Turning this off hides those obligations from the register and removes them from the readiness denominator.
Readiness is tracked per unit so accountability lands where the data actually sits.
